I wear a lot of hat in my life... I am a musician, youtube content creator, worship leader, youth pastor, husband and father. Since 2012, I've been a YouTube partner creating content as a resource for musicians, bands, and growing churches. My YouTube channel has grown to 7,800 subscribers and over 3.5 million total views. Check my YouTube channel out here.
In 2005, my newlywed wife and I moved from Nashville, Tennessee to Cypress, Texas (a suburb of Houston) to plant a church (Christ Family Church) with my parents. This was a huge leap of faith. My father was on the pastoral staff at a large church in Nashville when we moved and we did not know anyone in Houston other than a couple family members who lived on the other side of town. We didn't have financial resources, a church building, sound system, leadership team or anything you should have in place when starting a church, but we did have a calling and passion for Cypress, Texas.
Since 2005, I have put in hundreds of hours finding the best, most affordable sound equipment and gear, assembled an amazing volunteer worship band and taught dozens of young students to play guitar, bass, drums and keys. Needless to say the past decade has been a huge learning experience and I am excited that I get to share what I've learned with you.
One thing I've realized is that I need a home base for my content beyond just YouTube as I offer additional resources that go beyond YouTube's scope. That's the purpose of this site. It is focused on resourcing musicians, bands and growing churches. I make videos and blog about music education, gear reviews, tutorials, team leading and stuff that doesn't fit nearly into a category.
My goal is to create useful, relevant content that you can put use as you grow as a musician and leader. If you are a musician or church leader—or aspire to be—then this blog is for you.
